The Nameless Tulou is the most impressive of all the tulous I've visited! 📍Wuming Tulou (now also called the Mysterious Tulou), Pinghe Wuzhai Tulou Ruins Perhaps this is the origin of the name "Colosseum-like Nameless Tulou." I first learned about it while working on the Pinghe County Tourism Development Plan. The information I gathered at the time referred to it as the "Colosseum-like Nameless Tulou." There were many theories and speculations about its origins, but I was deeply impressed by its name and photos. Later, I had the opportunity to visit the tulou and was struck by its grandeur, which the photos hadn't fully captured. Being there was truly awe-inspiring, and I couldn't stop sharing photos with a mentor who studies cultural heritage, trying to convey the sense of wonder. Over the years, I've visited dozens of tulous, large and small, including round tulous, square tulous, horseshoe-shaped tulous, and more. Among them are the world's largest tulou, Zhengcheng Lou; the 5A-rated Dadi Tulou, a World Heritage Site; and the exquisitely crafted Chengqi Lou, a national key cultural relic protection unit. However, the most impressive of all is still the Nameless Tulou. In the years since I first saw it, I've returned many times, witnessing its transformation from an abandoned, overgrown structure to the revitalized Mysterious Tulou. Whether overgrown and dilapidated or restored and pristine, it remains magnificent. Nameless Tulou or Mysterious Tulou, it is still the same. Strolling through it today, I can almost envision the future crowds of people taking photos. While I know it will eventually return to quietude, this colossal structure will stand as it always has, silently observing its own cycle of fame and obscurity. Centuries from now, after falling into disrepair once more, it will again bear the marks and craftsmanship of a future generation.

When you reach the intersection with the words "Qingtian" carved on the stone wall, the road to Qingtian Rock is difficult to walk and leads to Qingtian Peak. Because I was with an elderly person, I turned back halfway and did not reach the top. The road to Ling Tong Rock is easy to walk. The sound of firecrackers in the valley is accompanied by the chanting of scriptures, and the red Tongling Temple on the rock wall appears in a dreamlike scene to welcome devout pilgrims. After offering incense to the gods and praying for blessings, we went down the mountain. The whole journey takes 4 hours, which is very suitable for low-level hiking. Lingtong Mountain is characterized by four major features: dangerous peaks, strange rocks, clear springs and floating clouds. | After 2 days, I finally captured the glowing Hanging Temple. I have always wanted to take pictures of Lingtongyan Temple in Zhangzhou, especially the scene of a waterfall falling from the sky. Last month, I deliberately chose a rainy day to climb the mountain. As I climbed, I thought: If there is a waterfall + rainbow + advection fog + golden light, the picture would be perfect. After waiting for half a day, I only captured the smoke from the firecrackers at the temple (Picture 5). - When we returned to the foot of the mountain, we were not discouraged. We checked the weather forecast and saw that it would rain the next day, so we immediately decided to climb again the next day. After another half-hour climb and another half-day wait, the rain still did not come. Just as it was getting dark and we were about to give up, a cloud of mist drifted in, as if a curtain had been drawn behind the Hanging Temple, and the temple glowed with a sacred light in the night (Pictures 1-3). - This is what landscape photography is all about. Some are well-preserved and developed into tourist attractions, some are still inhabited by the elderly, and some are abandoned and gradually decaying in the countryside. - This time, I visited an abandoned tulou in Zhangzhou. Unlike other tulou I have seen before, the interior of this building is completely occupied by plants. From above, it looks like a terrarium in nature. - Even though the people have left, the tulou is still full of life.
