Manado (Minahasa) First Impressions: A Direct 4.4h Flight from Kunming

The direct flight ✈️ from Kunming took just 4.4 hours to reach Sam Ratulangi International Airport, and it's only about a half-hour ride to the city center. Super convenient! Here's a glimpse into my amazing Manado itinerary 👇 🚤 White Sand Island This island has the most interesting shape, like a green fish 🐟 floating on the azure sea. It's incredibly peaceful. The snorkeling experience nearby is absolutely amazing! I easily spotted Nemo and starfish in the water, feeling like I was in an underwater fairy tale. Truly magical 😆. 🐬 Siladen Dolphin Watching Dolphin watching in Siladen is a must-do in Manado! You're almost guaranteed to see dolphins; it just depends on how long you're willing to search. You might see one or two, but with a bit of luck, you'll witness a whole pod leaping joyfully through the ocean. It's a breathtaking sight 🤩. 🌊 Bunaken National Marine Park This place is fantastic for both diving and snorkeling. While snorkeling, you'll be surrounded by all sorts of colorful fish 🐠🐟 and diverse coral formations. It feels like swimming in a giant aquarium. If you go diving, you might even encounter adorable sea turtles and dance with the fish, experiencing the mystery and charm of the ocean 🥰. 🗽 Christ Blessing Statue The forward-leaning posture of this statue seems to symbolize a beautiful paradise, as if warmly welcoming visitors from afar. Locals say that Jesus Christ protects the people of Manado, ensuring their safety and well-being. It truly adds a sacred touch to the city 🙏.
