A trip to Phuket Island has changed my view of Thailand
I used to think Thailand was all superstitious and not as interesting as European culture, so I was never really interested in traveling there. However, my friends kept recommending how fun Thailand could be. Taking advantage of the recent reopening, I chose to give Phuket a try.
The result was that Phuket really surprised me.
The beauty of the Similan Islands is indescribable, and seeing the jelly-like sea for the first time completely healed me! Sitting on a beach chair, sipping coconut water, listening to the waves, and getting a Thai massage after a day of eating and wandering was just too comfortable and pleasant! The value for a 2-hour hot stone and essential oil massage for 200 is too good!
Before going, I was also worried that after three years, they might take advantage of tourists and treat Chinese people differently, but most of the locals I met were actually very warm-hearted, kind, and simple.
I encountered a fruit shop owner who ran a long way to catch up with a few Chinese girls, shouting in Thai that they couldn't understand, to give them the fruit they had bought but forgotten to take; on the day I left, the driver arranged for my airport transfer took a long detour along Kata-Karon-Patong Beach to let me see the sunset by the sea as we drove to the airport.
One or two heartwarming incidents during a trip can fill the entire journey with warmth and emotion, and sprinkle sunshine over the memories of these short five days.
My body has returned, but my heart remains in Thailand.
Not visiting these places in Phuket, Thailand is like not having been there at all (with guide)
Thailand has thousands of islands, but I still chose to come back to Phuket,
although it's not as niche as Elephant Island, nor as pristine as Lanta,
the diversity of Phuket really makes for a joyful experience!
-
In Phuket, besides enjoying the sea, there are multiple long coastline beaches,
if you like quiet, you can find a sea-view hotel to stay for a day,
spend a leisurely afternoon at a nearby seaside cafe,
Or you can walk around Phuket Town to feel the market culture of the town,
see Phuket's oldest temple, Wat Chalong,
and in the evening, enjoy a relaxing Thai massage.
For those who like lively activities, you can go for jungle zip-lining,
or island-hopping and snorkeling,
there are several night markets in Phuket that are cheap and delicious,
for those who love shopping, Jungceylon, Central Festival, and Big C are really all worth a rush!

👉🏻Those who want to go to the Similan Islands can arrange a 5-day 4-night trip, staying two nights in a hotel in Khao Lak Town, half an hour from the pier to the Similan Islands by boat, and it takes 2 hours to get to the pier from Patong.

Official announcement of permanent visa exemption! Enter summer in a second! This hot island that is only 4 hours away by direct flight~
Phuket is very familiar to everyone, the three major beaches here are Patong Beach, Karon Beach, and Kata Beach, which are crowded with all kinds of tourists. Although the three major beaches are beautiful, they are too noisy for those seeking tranquility. In fact, many other beaches in Phuket are also worth visiting!
For example, Mai Khao Beach, which has the longest coastline in Phuket, where you can quietly walk and enjoy the romantic sunset! It does not have the commercialization and vanity of the three major beaches, but it is full of vitality, small crabs, sea turtles, and the sea breeze are all evidence of the never-ending summer!
✈️Preparation before departure: passport, printed wine order, phone card, UnionPay savings card, carry cash 2000 rmb per person or 1w Thai baht per person
🏠 Accommodation: We chose to stay near Patong Beach, which is convenient for travel and has many places to eat and play. The hotel is very satisfied. There are two 711s within a hundred meters from the door, and the popular small hot pot is on the right side of the hotel.
👏Coming to Phuket, you must see the sea. Phuket has three major beaches, and it is very convenient to rent a car. You can rent a car for a half-day island tour (Patong Beach→Karon Beach→Kata Beach→Promthep Cape to watch the sunset)
1️⃣Kata Beach (Among the three major beaches, Kata is the favorite, with blue water, white sand, and relatively calm sea surface, suitable for lazing around)
2️⃣Karon Beach (Blue water, big waves, suitable for surfing)
3️⃣Patong Beach (The sea water is more turbid compared to the previous two, and there are the most water activities)
👏The second way to see the sea is to go out to sea🌊
✅Coral Island + Emperor Island Day Tour
The day tour reported on 🍑, only over a hundred per person, feels great, the itinerary is not rushed, very leisurely, plenty of time to play, snorkeling🤿, the sea water of Emperor Island is very blue, it is a jelly sea, but the waves are big, surfing is top-notch, Coral Island is not bad, basically no waves, soaking in the sea is too comfortable.
✅Similan Islands Day Tour
The farthest and most tossing among the island hopping tours, but it's really beautiful, white sandy beach🏖️jelly sea🌊, there are two snorkeling🤿. Depart from the hotel at six in the morning to the pier⛵️, arrive at Similan Island at about ten, and the play time is relatively short, not recommended for those with children.
✅There are also Phi Phi Island and Egg Island. The sea water of Phi Phi Island is green, with snorkeling, and there is a feeling of Guilin landscape, with mountains and seas. Egg Island is very close to Phuket Island, suitable for parent-child travel, many small fish, the beach is gentle, and the water is relatively shallow.
👏Coming to Phuket, you must go to the night market
1️⃣Phuket Old Street Weekend Night Market (Sunday 16:00-22:00)
If time can be arranged, you must go to this night market, which is very characteristic and has a great atmosphere. There are all kinds of food and fun. It is recommended to go early, the evening is more photogenic, there is sunset, the street is full of colorful lights, the bustling street, colorful architectural street.
2️⃣NAKA Night Market (Saturday and Sunday 17:00-22:00)
This night market is relatively cheaper than other night markets, a local night market, large in scale, with two areas for eating and shopping, with various special delicacies, and live resident singing.
3️⃣Frog Night Market🐸 (Monday to Saturday 17:00-23:00)
Very photogenic, with live resident singing, high face value, a variety of things are relatively complete, more tourists, the food is relatively expensive, but it is lively and the atmosphere is also good.

Old Phuket Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Walking 30,000 steps in Phuket Town without a guide is really not recommended!
Phuket Island has not only beaches,
but also the colorful, dopamine-filled, dreamy Phuket Town.💒
Even though the Thai Songkran festival has passed,
traveling to Phuket Island for a vacation is still a good choice.
However, it is recommended to plan ahead for a visit to Phuket Town,
this time I walked 30,000 steps in the old town streets,
and I have summarized nine strategies that you can directly copy for your homework!🎏
-
🇹🇭Travel Tips:
👉
❶Be sure to come over the weekend, Phuket Town has a weekend night market that is much more lively!🤹
❷You can stay in Phuket Town for one night, but it is not recommended to stay too far away, as the surrounding area is quite remote and a short taxi ride can cost quite a bit of money🎫
❸Must-visit buildings include: Rose Wall Café, Tiffany Blue Building, On Chun Hall, Thai Hua Museum, Ding Guang Hall... The town is not big, and you can find them just by walking around🕌
❹If you go during the day, be sure to pay attention to sun protection. The old town is not like the beach, if you really can't stand it, just sit in a café and space out, and continue exploring around four or five in the afternoon☀️
❺Don't go on a cloudy day, as the visual appeal of the colorful houses is much less. Photos taken on a sunny day will turn out great📸
❻There are many Chinese restaurants on the streets, but if you don't miss Chinese food too much, you can skip it, as the taste is slightly inferior to that in China🍜
❼Be sure to wait until dark to see the night view, especially the sunset. Standing on the streets of Phuket Town and taking pictures of the sunset, the atmosphere is very good🌇
❽Phuket Town is not big, and walking around all day can be very tiring and hot. It is recommended to take it easy, drink coffee at Ma sj, and enjoy the night market as it gets dark☕️
❾Phuket Town is close to the pier for Phi Phi Island, so if you are going out to sea to Phi Phi Island the next day, staying in town is a good choice🏨

Harry Potter in Phuket, Thailand? 🧐
#wheretogo to live your Harry Potter fantasy when in Phuket, Thailand?
Thailand is known for its people's creativity - they set trends when it comes to the latest cool hangout spots and ideas. Thankfully, this means hardcore Harry Potter fans might not need to travel to the UK for now, as Phuket is home to its own Hog's Head?
Hog's Head Inn is famously known for being a historic (though disresputable) tavern in the Harry Potter series. Fans will know of its peculiar design, interesting drink concoctions, and spooky atmosphere. Located in Phuket Old Town, Hog's Head Pub Phuket enchants visitors with the famous slanted door, as well as decor that transports you into a Harry Potter book.
While the food looks great, I recommend going for the mocktails (or alcohol). The non-alcoholic butter beer is a must-try - sweet with the right amount of gas for a little burp! The whole menu is priced affordably, and the staff were awesome. Even if you're not a Harry Potter fan, go down for a unique experience. PS live bands perform here after sunset!

Watching the sunset at Karon Beach, feeling the tranquility and beauty
Today, I finally came to Karon Beach. I heard that the sunset here is particularly beautiful, so I have been looking forward to it. Unlike Patong Beach, the atmosphere here is quieter, like a gentle girl. As the sun slowly sinks into the sea, the sky gradually dyes a layer of orange, and the waves gently slap the beach, as if whispering to me. At this moment, I feel that my soul has been purified, and all the troubles have been blown away by the sea breeze.
The sun has completely fallen into the horizon, and the sky is gradually darkening. I know it's time to leave. But my heart is full of satisfaction and gratitude, because this sunset is really too beautiful, making me feel the magic of nature. Next time I come to Karon Beach, I will definitely choose to watch the sunset quietly here.
Thai food in Phuket
Bai Toey is a small restaurant on a lovely little street in Karon beach serving traditional Thai food.
Most of the restaurant is outside and covered with lots of fans to keep you cool. The staff are very attentive and the seafood in the restaurant was my personal favourite. Phad Thai was also another popular dish which I would recommend. They also have free wifi along with special deals on the alcohol drinks #food
Nice Thai food in Phuket
Along the resort of Karon Beach there is a small street that has a few restaurants on. Butterfly Bistro is one of those restaurants that has a mix of Thai food along with some international dishes too.
The interior of the restaurant is very big, with wooden structures and fake motorbikes, with very welcoming staff. I would personally recommend any of the seafood dishes as they were the nicest ones that I tried. There is also free wifi in the restaurant
