The Big Buddha

Another major Phuket attraction that doesn’t involve the beach is the Big Buddha. Construction of this Buddha statue began in 2004, and there is still some construction going on at the base. Since the statue is situated at the top of a hill, visitors also get a beautiful view of Phuket. There are lots of monkeys around, so do not bring food up the hill.
