One of the most famous temple in Phuket that you can visit is Wat Chalong or also known as Chaithararam Temple. The temple is located in the Chalong sub district and nearby Phuket Old Town. This temple is an important site of worship especially for the locals. Wat Chalong also has served as a refuge for the local population during the Chinese Coolie Rebellion back in 1876. There is no entrance fee required. You’re free to roam around the temple complex and enjoy the surroundings.
