Huay Lad Forest Temple, Phu Ruea

Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu. Merit is happiness. Wat Pa Huai Lat is a temple of the people under the Dhammayuttika Nikaya sect, located in Santom Subdistrict, Phu Ruea District, Loei Province. Wat Pa Huai Lat was founded by Luang Pu Chob Thansamo, a disciple of Luang Pu Man Phurithatto. The villagers were impressed by Luang Pu Chob’s conduct, so they invited him to build this temple in 1940. The temple has been developed gradually. It received the royal charter on June 12, 1999. The highlight of the temple is the many sculptures, such as the Trimurti, Indra, Ganesha, the Naga, and many other deities. Inside the temple, there is a large pond in the middle and a pavilion to celebrate the King. Who received royal permission to invite the royal initials B.P.R. and the royal initials S.K. to be decorated on the front pediment. Inside the Chalermprakiat Pavilion, there is a large white principal Buddha image, 19 meters high, named Phra Sappanyu Ru Jaeng Sam Daen Lok That, made from calcite. The screen behind the principal Buddha image is a gold Thai pattern in contrast to the dark background. Outside the Chalermprakiat Pavilion, there is a statue of a nine-headed Naga.
