Phrae City Museum "Khum Chao Luang"

When visiting Phrae, you must visit the history of Phrae at least once. On this trip, we visited “Khum Chao Luang”, built by Chao Piriyathepwong. The architectural style is a mix of Thai and European, beautifully standing out in the middle of Phrae. Originally, Khum Chao Luang was built as a residence for the Chao Luang and his family. Now, Khum Chao Luang has been opened as a museum for learning. Free admission for the public, students and learners. Inside, there are zones displaying antiques, collections, dining rooms, and bedrooms of the Chao Luang and his children in the past. There is also a hall downstairs that gives you goosebumps when you look inside. It is a prison for slaves who committed crimes, from minor to serious offenses. Because of the strangeness and stories passed down, when visiting the prison, some websites will write recommendations for visiting so that you don’t end up in a bad situation for your future. There are various methods of telling you this.
