Phra Samut Chedi

Phra Samut Chedi or the Chedi in the middle of the water. This Phra Samut Chedi was built in 1819 during the reign of King Rama II. Normally, the locals call this place the Chedi in the middle of the water because before that, the area where Phra Samut Chedi was built was an island surrounded by water. But later, the right bank of the river extended out and connected to the island where the chedi is located, so at present it is no longer an island.
