Ayutthaya, The Bangkok Biggest Wonder

#bangkoktrip Ayutthaya is a city with interesting ruins of Buddhist temples. The center is included in the UNESCO list and attracts many tourists visiting Thailand. The history of the Ayutthaya state is rich and eventful. During the heyday of Ayutthaya, there is also a period of rapid development of Thai culture and art. Ayutthaya is the former capital of the Kingdom of Thailand (Siam), or the kingdom of Ayutthaya, as it was then called. The second capital after Sukhothai. During its heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, Ayutthaya was larger than Paris and London combined. It was called the "Venice of the East". Trade flourished in Ayutthaya between local merchants selling rice and local materials, and traders from Europe, mainly from France and the Netherlands, who brought modern weapons. Chinese buyers also had a large market share. A royal palace and many impressive Buddhist temple complexes were built in Ayutthaya. However, Ayutthaya was in constant conflict with neighboring Burma. The second major armed conflict between the states after a long siege ended with the defeat of the Ayutthaya kingdom. Burmese troops destroyed and burned the city. Today, Ayutthaya attracts thousands of tourists because of the ruins of temples left after the attack by the Burmese army. When visiting Ayutthaya, you can let your imagination run wild and imagine how rich and beautiful this city was in its heyday. You can get from Bangkok very quickly. From Mo Chit North Bus Station, regular buses will take you to your destination in 55 baht and an hour and a half. Buses leave every half hour. And from Hua Lamphong railway station you will have to drive a little longer – 2-2.5 hours. Private car is also an option and allows to save time, thus, it is rented for whole day. What is the conclusion? This Thailand MUST SEE attraction, it is amazing, I have never ever seen anything great like this!
