Khunphon Khubarami Temple, King Rama III

It was built in 2353 (during the reign of King Phutthaloetla Naphalai) by Chaophraya Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) while holding the title of Phra Phrom Surin. Therefore, the temple was named after the royal title at that time. The temple was renovated by the temple builder during the reign of King Rama III after he returned from the war with Vietnam in Cambodia. However, he passed away before it was completed. King Rama III therefore graciously accepted it as a royal temple and continued construction until it was completed. He gave it a new name, Wat Parinyok, to commemorate Chaophraya Bodindecha, who was the Samuha Nayok at that time.
