Phra Attharot Temple

Phra Wihan Phra Attharot Located behind Phra Phuttha Chinnarat Wihan, there is Phra Attharot, a standing Buddha statue in the attitude of subduing relatives, 18 cubits (about 10 meters) high, built at the same time as Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, around 1800 B.E. It was originally enshrined in the main chapel, but the chapel was completely destroyed, leaving only 3-4 large laterite pillars and a part of the chapel mound, called “Neow Hong Wihan Mound”. Currently, the Fine Arts Department has restored and excavated archaeologically in the area called “Neow Hong Wihan Mound”, where the original chapel base and a number of ancient Buddha statues were excavated. #FathersDayTravel
