Phi Phi Islands Trip Report — For Anyone Who Wants to Be a Beautiful Christmas Cliché 🎄🌴

If you want to escape Christmas and embrace full tropical cliché mode, Phi Phi delivers. It’s flaming gorgeous — turquoise water, sugar-white sand, and more long-tail boats than your sanity needs. - Maya Bay: 🏝️🇹🇭🌅😎 Newly reopened, stunning, and yes — you will pretend you’re in The Beach. Everyone does. - Monkey Beach: 🙈🐒🏖️🌊 Cute until they spot your snacks. They run the island now. Nightlife: Buckets, beach bars, fire shows — the full ‘I’m 22 again’ experience. - Viewpoint: 🌄🌅🏝️🥾 Steep climbs and lots and lots of Steps, well worth it at the top with incredible views over the islands and a spectacular sunset. Be warned Phi Phi is a party island and this activity can be mildly traumatic if you attempt it hungover. - Getting around: 🚘⛔️🚶🛶 No cars, just boats. Lots of boats. So many boats. Must enjoy boats vital to get to Phi Phi due to lack of airport. Frequent Ferries and Speedboats will get you to either Ao Nang for Krabi International or Rassada Pier for Phuket International airports both reasonably priced, well organised and take just over an hour. Make sure you book in advance the hotels will usually meet you at the port and help you with your luggage. Top Tip - Etihad ✈️🇦🇪have just launched direct connections on their brand new aircraft to Krabi (KBV) from Abu Dhabi (AUH) with great connections from UK, Europe and the World. Much more peaceful recently refurbished international terminal avoiding the chaos of Phuket (HKT) or Bangkok (BKK) If you want a destination that’s iconic, chaotic, and totally worth the hype, Phi Phi is your Christmas getaway.
