Western Australia Road Trip 1/4

WA is really huge. To balance my studies and traveling, 4 trips were planned (one a little out of the city, North, south and valley) This first trip me and my travelling buddy took was during our school term break. It was a little out of the city of Perth and the following destinations we went to are: Point Peron, Penguin island and Serpentine. A 4 wheel drive is definitely needed. At Point peron we hiked and manage to capture the most beautiful red sunset. It was the first time in my life that I have ever witnessed such a beautiful scene. You can camp in your car there, however the toilet is a bit of a drive away and the place is very dark. there is foot traffic there such as fishermen or night hikers but you do not want to risk your safety, I recommend you book a place to stay. The second stop was penguin Island. It was a beautiful day and as seen in the photos, the sunlight illuminated the blue waters. As compared to Singapore, the sea was really really beautiful. We heard that if we were lucky enough, we could see Penguins coming onto shore. unfortunately we were not that lucky. BUT worry not! they have a penguin enclosure within the island 😁😁 Our last stop was serpentine. Where we visited the waterfall and hiked. Swimming is allowed at the waterfall. And it was very insane of us to go for a dip during the winter months. Huge disclaimer: do not do that… it is very cold also there were a lot of 🐛🪱 in the water… After drying off, we hiked up the mountain (3h up and down) and was rewarded with a splendid view! be careful when hiking down because it’s steep! Many people say Western Australia is boring. But I beg to defer. If you love nature, hiking, exploring, I recommend you go out of your comfort zone rather than visiting tourist spots and experiencing what Australia has to offer! 😁 #mustvisit #explore #naturalwonders #vacation
