Pizzas in Malay Traditional House 🍕

True to the Perlis vibe of offering trendy eateries in unexpected places, Makwa Pizzeria is a cafe that offers authentic Italian style pizza in an authentic pizza oven located in a a very traditional style wooden Malay house. Talk about clash of cultures. The pizzas are very tasty and quite authentic. The pizzas here have only a few ingredients and are fired to near perfection in the pizza oven. I had the Big Breakfast Pizza, White Duck pizza and Truffle Mushroom Pizza.It was chewy and tasty with the crust nicely charred slightly. Prices are quite reasonable and service is fast. The traditional Malay style house itself is also a highlight most of the outdoor seating is in the space under the house (which is how it is in traditional Malay houses) and there is seating upstairs in the house itself, but you have to take off your shoes if you want to eat upstairs. Highly recommended and a must try if you want authentic Italian pizza. Makwa Pizzeria is only open in the evenings starting from 3pm.
