After going, it still very much suits my aesthetic and preferences, and it's a rare hiking destination that I would definitely revisit. I went there in winter, and there was still a bit of snow on the road, with ice shards between the trees glittering like gold and silver, which was very beautiful. Next time, I want to go in the summer to experience it again. · Navigate to Pengzhou Zhongba Forest Park, about an hour and a half's drive from Chengdu, with nice scenery along the way. The park has no entrance fee, but remember to bring some cash, as there is no cell signal in the mountains and WeChat Pay cannot be used. You can drive to the foot of the mountain and then hike into the mountains. The road up the mountain is paved but steep, which can be a bit tiring to climb. Once inside the park, there are plank paths which are much easier to walk on. You can choose any path to walk on; there are no signs or directions.
