#AsiaTravelRecord ⁡ After arriving⁡, I met a local at the first bus stop I went to who had just finished work at the airport, and before I knew it, we had become good friends. He invited me to go to Bay Mall, the largest mall in Penang, together. ⁡ ⁡ As the bus moved forward, I said goodbye to him⁡, and at night, as I walked towards the hotel in the center of Georgetown, I happened to find a Michelin restaurant on the roadside. I felt a sense of familiarity with the atmosphere of the restaurant, which was like a food stall, so I decided to go in. ⁡⁡ ⁡⁡ ⁡The staff were a friendly couple and their daughter, and they were very friendly, asking me if I wanted something spicy, where I was from, and telling me to be careful on my way home. ⁡And when I was leaving, they gave me a gift, pulling out a mini tissue from their pocket with a big smile on their face. ⁡⁡ ⁡I had never had the chance to eat Michelin-starred food before⁡, but after just one bite, I was captivated by the deliciousness of each ingredient and the careful preparation. I was so surprised by how delicious it was that until I finished eating, my mind was like that of Goro Inogashira from "The Solitary Gourmet." ⁡⁡⁡⁡ After leaving the shop, I was engrossed in new discoveries such as the Komtar Tower, the giant Gundam statue, and a McDonald's with a stylish exterior like the White House, and before I knew it, it was 2am and I was asleep...🌙⁡ ⁡⁡⁡ ⁡⁡ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー ⁡ ⁡The next day, I woke up before noon and decided to go to the Indian town called "Little India" first🇮🇳⁡⁡⁡⁡ ⁡⁡When I entered the place I saw on the map, a market was open with strangely rhythmic music like a festival, and every street was bustling with local people. ⁡⁡ ⁡ ⁡The samosa🥐 I found there had mutton curry in the crispy dough, and when I took a bite, the aroma of spices spread all over the place. Onions were also included along with the meat, and the texture was fun...❁︎ ⁡ ⁡After the meal, I went around looking at the "wall art" in the city, which I had heard was a must-see in Penang...✨⁡⁡⁡ Many of the works I found combined pictures and real objects (such as windmills and snowman ornaments), and I felt a fusion of the time when they were painted and the present. ⁡I also compared the nighttime, when the art is not very clear, with the daytime, when it is clearly visible, and thought that the wall art makes the city of Komtar look more lively. ⁡ Then, my next destination, the "Floating Village🏠," was a classical yet mysterious village, with a different atmosphere from the center of George Town. ⁡ ⁡ The rows of stilt houses on the sea look like something from another world. I walked along a wooden walkway to get a closer look at the view. It felt as if the road was on the sea. The wet pier creaked with every step, and I walked carefully, fighting the fear that I might slip and fall into the water on either side. ⁡ ⁡And when I finally got to see the floating village from the front, the presence of the Penang mainland that spread out before me and the special feeling of the small but charming floating village seemed to confront each other and shine. ⁡⁡---- ⁡ As dusk approached, I got on a bus back to the airport to go to Queensbay Mall, where I had made a promise with the guy I met on the first day. ⁡🌇 ⁡ The chain restaurants I found at the mall had slightly different menus, but they were similar to those in Thailand.⁡ ⁡I also discovered that restaurants are a common sight in shopping centers in Southeast Asia.⁡ ⁡ After meeting him,⁡we went to a restaurant together and had a long chat, and we looked for Malaysian chocolate together, and before we knew it, it was time for the bus...🌙⁡ ------ ⁡ ⁡⁡The third day was the day I returned home.⁡⁡ ⁡ I overslept and woke up right at the departure time, so I ran from the hotel to the bus stop with sleepy eyes. ☀️ ⁡⁡⁡ ⁡After arriving at the airport safely, I went to a nearby restaurant to get "Nasi Kandar", a Malay dish introduced by Indian merchants 🍴 ⁡⁡⁡ A plate of jasmine rice topped with chicken, warm cabbage salad, and two types of curry.
