Khao Chedi Temple

Wat Khao Chedi, Chumphon Province Located on a high hill, it is home to an ancient pagoda and a tall Buddha statue called Phra Burapha Banphot, next to the pure white pagoda. This old pagoda is believed to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. The pagoda base is a square, approximately 9 meters wide on each side. The base is raised 3 levels, with twelve recessed corners. There is a glass wall around the base. Inside the glass wall, there is a clockwise walkway. There is only one staircase to go up. According to the story, Chao Ai Chao Yi were two wealthy brothers who sailed a junk loaded with many items and servants to park the boat at Khok Yai Ram (in front of Suwannaram Temple today) to find a suitable mountain peak to build a pagoda.
