I Wish I Did This Instead

#koreatrip It was our first time in Korea, and having our pictures taken around Gyeongbokgung Palace was on our bucket list. There were many hanbok rental places near the palace, all offering similar prices with varying services. I chose Gigibebe Hanbok, opting for their special hanbok package with hairstyling. The process was simple and straightforward, and the staff were friendly. There's a toilet in the store, and I recommend using it before putting on the hanbok. Also, wear a skin-colored singlet and heat-tech tights underneath; I was freezing because the skirt was thinner and more exposed than I expected, especially in strong winds. We ended up following a soon-to-be-married couple around during their photoshoot to find good spots for our own photos. Unfortunately, unlike tourist spots in Japan, there are no photo stands available around the castle, making it challenging to get good photos together. The palace is quite large, and people are well spread out, so it was difficult to find someone who could take a decent photo for us. What I would have done differently is to engage a personal photographer for a mini photoshoot. It'll costs about $80-100 per person, which is quite reasonable for quality memories.
