The reason is that, due to the recent development rush, Pamukkale's hot springs are currently drying up. As a result, the amount of hot water flowing into the travertines seems to be adjusted, and some areas do not have hot spring water, resulting in many desolate travertines without hot spring water. However, if you look for an area where hot spring water is coming out, you can still see beautiful travertines like this, so when I actually went there, I wasn't disappointed, and the pure white was so beautiful that it was almost dazzling. 🤩 Walking in shoes is prohibited in this area, so you walk on the travertines barefoot, but since it's hot spring water, it's warm and feels good ☺️ When the water flow is strong, it feels like a massage, and you'll want to stay in the foot bath forever. In Pamukkale, you can see not only the travertines, but also the ruins of Hierapolis. It's quite large, so if you're not interested, you can skip it, but for me who loves ruins, it was irresistible! There is a train from Izmir, Turkey's second largest city, and buses are very convenient within Turkey, and long-distance buses also depart from Cappadocia, which is famous for its hot air balloons. From the Denizli bus terminal, take the shuttle bus to Karahayit. [Points] There are few hotels around Pamukkale, and there are no particular tourist attractions in Denizli, so it seems that a standard plan for travelers is to take an overnight bus from Cappadocia to Denizli early in the morning, sightsee at Pamukkale, and then move on to another city on the same day.
