【Paju, South Korea】Climbing Mount Wudu to look at North Korea

If you are curious about North Korea, you can climb Mount Udu in Paju City, South Korea and look at North Korea through a telescope. Built in 1992, the Wudusan Unification Observatory is located in Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is an observatory managed by a private organization. It is different from the Dora Observatory which is managed by the military. When you arrive at the entrance of the Unification Observatory on Wudu Mountain, you can clearly see the statue of Cho Man-sik and the Wangbai Altar where people can worship their ancestors in the north. There are exhibition rooms and an observation room on the inner floor of the observatory. There are some introductions and exhibits about North Korea in the exhibition room. In addition to viewing the exhibits and learning about North Korea through indoor introductions, I also went to the observation room and the top floor to see North Korea from afar. There are telescopes in the observatory and on the top floor for visitors to use. If the weather is clear, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Imjin River and observe the current situation of Kijong-dong in North Korea.
