Friend of Mount Arjuno

Mount Welirang (+3,156 m above sea level) is a mountain located on the border of Malang Regency and Mojokerto Regency, East Java, Indonesia. "Welirang" or "Walirang (the ancient name) in Javanese means sulfur. All over the slopes are covered with vegetation in the Hill Dipterocarp forest area, Upper Dipterocarp forest, Montane forest, and Ericaceous Forest or mountain forest. The climbing route can be done through Jubel Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto. In the area around the peak, an endemic plant lives which the locals call Manis Rejo. Mount Welirang is an active volcano in East Java which is located on the border of Batu City, Pasuruan Regency and Mojokerto Regency. The name Mount Welirang comes from the Javanese word which means sulfur. Mount Welirang is on the same ridge as the peak of Mount Arjuno, so this complex is often called Arjuno-Welirang. #welirangmountain #gunungindonesia #gunung
