During cherry blossom season, the entire park is bathed in pink hues, beautifully complementing the distant view of Otaru Port—a breathtaking sight. The park is dotted with old buildings and monuments, adding a nostalgic charm to the flower-viewing experience. I love sitting on the benches, watching children run around and elderly folks quietly admiring the blossoms. The atmosphere is rich with life and warmth. This spot is also perfect for photography, especially in the soft morning light when the cherry blossoms and port scenery create a poetic composition. Besides the canal, Otaru Park is definitely worth a visit.
