Otaru One-Day Trip Itinerary

📍Itinerary Introduction Upon arriving in Otaru, you can immediately visit the seafood market next to the station. Although smaller than the Nijo Market, it has everything you need, such as sea urchins and king crabs. You can buy fresh seafood and have it prepared on the spot to enjoy. After eating, you can walk down to the Otaru Canal, which looks beautiful in the snow. If you have time, you can also take a boat ride. Nearby, there are museums to explore (though I personally wasn't interested). A 5-minute walk will lead you to a shopping street filled with famous stores where you can buy souvenirs and enjoy local snacks. I highly recommend trying the fresh Hokkaido oysters, which are incredibly delicious. Don't miss the Letao specialty store for their exclusive hojicha cake, which is a must-try. From there, you can walk to Minami-Otaru and return to Sapporo.
