Beautiful Stained Glass

The Otaru Art Village Stained Glass Museum exhibits stained glass works that actually adorned church windows in England from the 19th to early 20th centuries, creating a solemn and beautiful space for visitors. The exhibits include scenes such as 'The Good Shepherd' depicting Jesus, 'The Last Supper,' and 'The Crucifixion.' While the stained glass is beautiful, I wish there were annotations explaining which parts of the Bible each picture depicts. Especially, 'The Good Shepherd,' preserved with the church window frame, recreates the atmosphere of the church at that time, offering many visitors an overwhelming experience. The solemn silence within the museum, along with the historical charm remaining in the stairs and beams, is well-received by visitors. Visiting with a guide might make it easier to understand even without knowledge of the Bible. There are also quizzes for children, making it enjoyable for a wide range of age groups.
