Hokkaido's 'Slope City' Otaru

🔷🔹Otaru is known as the 'Slope City' due to its many sloping roads. Among the most famous are 'Hell Slope' and 'Funami Slope.' 'Funami Slope' is also one of the filming locations for the movie 'Love Letter.' Standing on the slope, you can overlook the beautiful sea, just like in the movie scenes. In one scene of 'Love Letter,' a postman rides an electric bicycle up a slope to deliver a letter, and that slope is Funami Slope. Otaru Canal, Otaru Port Marina 🔷🔹Otaru is located in the southwestern part of Hokkaido, facing Ishikari Bay. The seaside of Otaru features a vast ocean, charming coastline, and distant mountains.
