[Osaka Prefecture] Dragon Shrine - A place you'll want to visit in the Year of the Dragon

Ryujin Shrine is a shrine located in Sayamaike Pond, a dam-type reservoir built in the Asuka period in Sayama City, Osaka. The surrounding area has been developed as Sayamaike Park, and a circular path of about 2,850 meters is formed around it. It was a warm day when we visited, so many people were using it as a strolling course. The deities enshrined are Mizuhanome-no-mikoto, Ame-mikumari-no-kami, and Kuni-mikumari-no-kami. There was little water in Sayamaike, so the depression in front of Ryujin Shrine, known as Ryujin-buchi, was visible.
