Elegant stay: The New Otani, Osaka

#staycation On my most recent trip to Osaka, Japan, I got to spend 2 nights at the highly-acclaimed New Otani. The New Otani has been in the local hotel industry for a while, and is well known among travellers. This hotel offers great views of the Osaka Castle too. I opted for the Deluxe Double Room with a view of the Osaka city skyline, which was quite nice at night. The room was adequately sized at 30sqm, and came with an ensuite bathroom. I personally am not a huge fan of combined bathtub/showers, but for the short stay, no complaints. The room was well-appointed, clean, and had generous amenities. Fun fact: including the lounge and bar, there are 15 food and beverage options - a huge variety, so be spoilt for choice. I recommend Mikan for a romantic dinner and drinks, or Fujio for good sukiyaki. P.S. do note that staying guests also have to pay ¥5000 to use the pool, while guests with visible tattoos are not permitted to use it or the gym (I am heavilly tattooed, but I didn't mind.
