Sitting in Nakanoshima Park and hearing the sound of fish jumping out of the water

After the last seminar before Golden Week, I went to Nakazaki-cho for a walk and a cup of coffee. We walked all the way back to Umeda, but felt that the walk was not satisfying enough, so we slowly walked to the Kitahama area. When I see familiar place names and landmarks along the way, I always think of the various studies related to these place names that I have read on ZEMI in recent years. Although I am doing Tokyo urban history research in Osaka, I had many dissatisfactions with Osaka as a "huge city" when I first moved here. However, in the process of studying Osaka history research with my teachers, friends and classmates, and participating in discussions on Osaka history research with my classmates, I gradually felt that my feelings towards Osaka have gone beyond the scope of "like/hate", and have become a feeling of familiarity with Osaka that has become an integral part of my research life. I remembered that I learned from my doctoral senior last month that Osaka’s city emblem is the Mio-no-Mio logo, and I felt warm in my chest. This is truly a proud port city. #Osaka Itinerary
