The charm of the city: memories of the Osaka Prefectural Government

#大坂之旅 Day 1 In the morning, I arrived at the Osaka Prefectural Government Building on Nakanoshima Island in Osaka. This historic building is amazing with its magnificent Western classical style. The red brick walls and the delicate white stone decoration complement each other, exuding a strong retro atmosphere. As you enter the lobby, the high dome and beautifully carved staircase demonstrate the delicacy and carefulness of the design. I took the guided tour to learn about the important role this building plays in Osaka's history, and how its function has changed over time, from an administrative center to a venue for cultural events. After lunch, I took a stroll in Nakanoshima Park next to the government office. The willow trees on the river bank and the high-rise buildings in the distance formed a beautiful city picture. In the afternoon, I went to the nearby Osaka City Central Public Hall, which complemented the architectural style of the prefectural government building and showcased the history and culture of the Nakanoshima area. Day 2 The second day started with another visit to the Osaka Prefectural Government Building, but this time I focused on exploring its details. The arched windows, exquisite wall lamps and classical furniture inside the building give people a sense of the charm of the Showa era. I deliberately climbed up to the observation point inside the building to overlook the entire Nakanoshima area. The river and buildings intertwined to form a three-dimensional city picture. After lunch, I walked to the nearby Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library and quietly flipped through books about the architectural history of Osaka, gaining a deeper understanding of the story of this land. In the afternoon, I chose to stop for a while in a cafe in the government office. The sunlight shone through the window onto the table, making me feel the passage of time.
