Stockholm City Hall: A Golden Venue Beneath the Red Brick Walls - Nobel Prize Banquet Hall

City halls in every city are often great tourist attractions, showcasing the most vibrant architectural features and cultural essence of the locality, especially in capital cities. During this Nordic trip, we visited Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and naturally, the "Stockholm City Hall (Stockholms stadshus)" located on King's Island was a highlight of the tour. The City Hall building is constructed with 8 million red bricks and features a towering structure that reaches 106 meters. While the exterior walls are brick red, the interior hall is painted sky blue, creating a striking visual contrast. Apart from serving as a venue for council meetings and administrative offices, Stockholm City Hall is also the site of the annual Nobel Prize banquet following the award ceremony, making it a place of significant importance. Visitors need to book in advance online for guided tours, which cover several key areas of the City Hall: the Blue Hall, the second-floor gallery, the council chamber, the tower, the Prince's Gallery, and the Golden Hall. It’s definitely worth exploring.
