Impressive St. Lorenz

St. Lorenz (St. Lawrence) is a medieval church of the former free imperial city of Nuremberg in southern Germany. It is dedicated to Saint Lawrence. Amazing cathedral with Gothic style architecture. The building is clearly visible in this small town with few tall buildings. The twin towers looked massive from a distance, and even more imposing up close. Inside is richly decorated. Very near to the Nürnberg hbf probably takes less than a couple of minutes. This has to be a must go place if you’re in Nürnberg. This gothic cathedral in fact is probably the most prominent Lutheran church in Bavaria, and this is also likely why it was fixed so quickly after the major damages it received after WWII. This historical church began construction in 1250 and took 227 years to build not completely finished until 1477. #couplestrip #nürnberg #germanytravel #nurnberg
