Beautiful temples in Nong Khai

Wat Phon Pong Wanaram, a temple with a newly built chapel, is located in Ban Wiang Kuk, Tambon Wiang Kuk, Nong Khai. It is considered a very beautiful temple. Inside, there is the principal Buddha image, Phra Chao Yai Wiang Thong, which is the largest Buddha image in the Maha Chakraphat posture in Nong Khai Province. It is enshrined in a Sim Kham or chapel with golden patterns, following the Lan Xang-Lanna culture, which is very unique.
