Lan Khaen Province in Thailand is a small town in the north of Thailand, separated from Laos by a river, which is the Mekong River. Most tourists use it as a transit station to go to Laos from here. Few tourists come to travel. Lan Khaen City is located on the south bank of the Mekong River. Later, the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge made it one of the somewhat busy commercial centers in the northeast, but it still retains the quiet charm of the riverside. Sala Keoku is a sculpture park (about over 20 meters high) located in Lan Khaen, Thailand. The park is the work of the mysterious Bu11nleua Sulilat (1932-1996), who bought this land when he fled from Laos in 1978. It evokes a synthesis inspired by Buddhism and Hinduism, with sculptures of Buddha, goddesses, Naga snakes, and various half-human, half-animal figures. The original site of Sala Keoku was an ancient Brahman temple. The founder, Luangpu, was born in Lan Khaen. As a child, he fell into a mysterious cave and met an ascetic monk who told him about the multi-layered hell and taught him about Buddhism and Hinduism. Therefore, the sculpture park is named after this monk, Kaewku. Luangpu began to build this garden in 1978. His works attracted many fans who provided materials and labor for free to create this weird and magical landscape with him. The park has more than 200 large cement statues, including Buddha statues, Bodhisattva statues, and Hindu god statues. On the stele of each sculpture, there are inscriptions in Lao and Thai explaining the works and concepts. The Seven Dragon Buddha: It tells the story of the Buddha enlightening the big snake. The Buddha encountered heavy rain while practicing under the Bodhi tree. The big snake crawled behind the Buddha's head to shelter him from the rain.
