Hanshin Koshien Stadium

This baseball stadium, home to the Hanshin Tigers and known for its spring and summer high school baseball games, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024. It is located in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. It can be accessed in about 15 to 30 minutes by taking the Hanshin train from Umeda or Namba, Osaka. When you leave the west exit of Hanshin Koshien Station, a wide walkway leads to the stadium. However, the stadium is hidden by an elevated bridge of the Hanshin Expressway, so it is not very visible. Lawson and Yoshinoya stores around the station are painted in Tigers colors, adding to the atmosphere. The area around the stadium is open even on days when baseball games are not being held. Inside, there are many shops bustling with activity, and the stadium is made of spacious natural grass and black soil. After the renovation, the lighting and screens have been changed, making it possible to create elaborate performances.
