Niseko - The snowiest place on Earth!

Niseko is the most famous ski resort in Japan and perhaps the world, known for having light powder snow. The winter alpine scenery is definitely breathtaking to say the least. It is 2.5hrs drive from Chitose Airport. It comprises 4 interlinked ski resorts – Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and An’nupuri – renowned for its consistency and quality of powder snow throughout the winter making it a perfect place to ski. Averaging around 15m+ of snow each season, it’s a serious contender for snowiest place in the world. I have not visited any snowier place than Niseko and this was corroborated by my ski instructor from the UK who was previously based in Austria. Hinode Hills located within Niseko Village is a five star apartment hotel which offers spacious living and sleeping area with each room having floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains. Transportation is easy and convenient as the hotels within Niseko Village offer free scheduled bus to all guests. #2022wintervacation #niseko #tripblazers #winterwonderland #wintergetaway #mytripvlog #nisekovillage #hokkaido #globetrotter #traveladdict #bespoketravel #luxurytravel #skiing #skiresorts

Here’s 3 secret ski trips off the beaten path I have done in 2020: 1. Niseko in Japan. Famous for endless deep powder and this view over Mt Yotei volcano. One of my best ski trips ever! 2. Skiing in Iceland is rare for most and days like this one with perfect blue skies as definitely not common. however this day everything just lined up and then Iceland is an amazing place to ski. 3. Lyngen in Norway. We went by boat to access remote islands and the walk up to the peak to ski down. An incredible nature experience and great skiing too. #skiing #unforgettableexperiences #travelinspiration #instagramworthydestinations #skitrip #winterwonderland #awesomepic

Moiwa

The Truth About Moiwa. Having skied about a dozen Hokkaido ski-fields, I can tell you Moiwa rocks! Whilst it's small, we love it because it offers awesome off-piste (within the resort on the shirakaba slope) that will truly satisfy those experimenting with powder skiing (plus groomers for beginners/intermediates) For the more adventurous, you can boot (or skate) out gate 6 (or 10) to access some great side-country that feeds back into the quad lift. For the even more adventurous, gate 6 also takes you over the back if you're happy to skin and earn your turns. Please make sure you have avo gear - beacon, shovel and probe mandatory. The crowds are much smaller than the major Niseko resorts and the restaurant to the bottom of the hill offers very good quality food at reasonable prices. Hope you enjoy it. #tripblazers #awesomepic
