Niseko - The snowiest place on Earth!

Niseko is the most famous ski resort in Japan and perhaps the world, known for having light powder snow. The winter alpine scenery is definitely breathtaking to say the least. It is 2.5hrs drive from Chitose Airport. It comprises 4 interlinked ski resorts – Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and An’nupuri – renowned for its consistency and quality of powder snow throughout the winter making it a perfect place to ski. Averaging around 15m+ of snow each season, it’s a serious contender for snowiest place in the world. I have not visited any snowier place than Niseko and this was corroborated by my ski instructor from the UK who was previously based in Austria. Hinode Hills located within Niseko Village is a five star apartment hotel which offers spacious living and sleeping area with each room having floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains.
