I finally completed my long-awaited cycling trip around Lugu Lake! The 50-kilometer loop offers stunning scenery along the way. The blue sky, white clouds, lake water, and grasslands are picturesque at every turn! 🚴Cycling Route Recommended route: Starting point (Daluoshui Village) - Yunnan Lover's Beach - Lige Peninsula - Xiaoluoshui Village - Sichuan Boundary Marker - Dazu - Lugu Lake Town - Grass Sea - Walking Marriage Bridge - Daluoshui 🍃Cycling Guide ✅Lugu Lake has a high altitude and strong UV rays, so be sure to bring sun protection clothing such as sun-protective clothing and headscarves. ✅Wear cycling gear such as a helmet and cycling gloves. Also, prepare a backpack, water bottle, and power bank. ✅Follow traffic rules during the ride. Pay attention to road conditions and oncoming traffic. Do not change lanes or ride against traffic at will. ✅Take your trash with you and do not litter. A beautiful environment requires everyone's effort to maintain. ✅The entire route is about 50–60 km. Usually starting from Daluoshui Village, you can cycle clockwise or counterclockwise around the lake. You can arrange one to two days according to your physical strength. ✅Recommended accommodations are in Daluoshui Village and Lugu Lake Town, which offer a wide variety of choices and good value for money. ✅Lugu Lake is about 2,700 meters above sea level. Take time to acclimatize and avoid strenuous exercise. Some sections have uphill and downhill slopes, so control your speed. ⭐️About the Attractions 1️⃣Daluoshui Village: The earliest developed village in Lugu Lake, it has a strong commercial atmosphere. The lakeside scenery is beautiful and suitable for watching the sunrise. 2️⃣Lige Peninsula: A landmark attraction of Lugu Lake. Overlooking from the viewing platform, the peninsula and the lake water form a stunning picture. 3️⃣Lover's Beach: There are Yunnan Lover's Beach and Sichuan Lover's Beach. Trees grow in pairs, making it suitable for taking photos and relaxing. 4️⃣Grass Sea: Lush green grass in spring and summer, and golden yellow in autumn and winter. Walking on the Walking Marriage Bridge, you can experience the romantic legends of the Mosuo people. 5️⃣Lu Yuan Cliff: One of the sources of Lugu Lake. The cliffs on the shore are as sharp as knives, making it an excellent location to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. 6️⃣Lugu Lake Goddess Bay: Also known as Zhaojia Bay, it faces Gemu Goddess Mountain and is one of the most beautiful bays in Lugu Lake. 7️⃣Dazu: The lake is sparkling, and the rolling mountains are reflected in the lake.
