SHUN.

Some time ago, when I was traveling in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, I accidentally found such a dilapidated ancient tower next to the main road of the bustling city. It seems that it seems to be somewhat out of place with the bustling scenes around, which has aroused my strong curiosity. Don't know, it's really "scare". It turned out that this is not an ordinary ancient tower. Although it seems not so eye-catching at first glance, it is actually a veritable "national cultural relics protection unit": Ningbo Tianning Temple Tower. Ningbo "Tianning Temple" was built in the Tang Dynasty for five years, formerly known as Guoning Temple, Song Zongning changed its name to Chongning Wanshou Temple, and later changed its name to Daning Wanshou Temple, built in the years after the destruction of the war, Yuanzhida In the second year, it was destroyed by the shackles and rebuilt. In the fifteenth year of Ming Hongwu, it was changed to Tianning Temple. In the early years of the Republic of China, it was renamed "Tianning Temple". Ningbo's Tianning Temple is no longer there, leaving only one ancient pagoda still standing on the side of the road. The "Tianning Temple" tower that we have seen now is the West Tower in the East and West Towers of the former Temple, and the other East Tower has collapsed during the Guangxu Period of Qing Dynasty. In addition, this Tianning Temple Tower is the only one of the oldest brick towers in Zhejiang Province, and the only one in the south of the Yangtze River. It is the only tower in the Tang Dynasty. The examples have played a very important role in the study of the religious culture and Buddhist architecture of the Tang Dynasty.
