My journey began in Ningbo, where I explored the historic Tianyi Pavilion, China’s oldest private library, nestled in a serene garden. Walking through the bustling Old Bund, I admired the fusion of European-style architecture and Chinese maritime heritage, a reminder of Ningbo’s role in ancient sea trade. From the city, I crossed the grand bridges connecting to Zhoushan, heading straight for Daqing Mountain. The landscape transformed into rolling hills, rugged cliffs, and endless ocean views. A hike up Daqing Mountain Scenic Area rewarded me with a stunning panorama—mist-covered islands floating in the vast East China Sea, creating a scene straight out of a Chinese painting. From Ningbo’s cultural elegance to Zhoushan’s coastal wilderness, this transit journey captured the essence of Zhejiang—where history meets the sea, and mountains embrace the sky.
