🚉Transportation Guide: Ride-hailing + Bus 🗓Itinerary: Morning: Former Residence of Chiang Kai-shek → Maitreya Buddha (Xuedou Temple) 6:40-7:15 Have breakfast at the hotel 7:15-8:05 Take a ride-hailing car to the Former Residence of Chiang Kai-shek 8:05-9:30 Visit the Former Residence of Chiang Kai-shek, then take a ride-hailing car to Xuedou Mountain. 9:30-10:00 Arrive at Xuedou Mountain and take a bus up the mountain. I bought a combo ticket for Xuedou Mountain and the Former Residence of Chiang Kai-shek on Trip.com for CNY 205 per person, which includes the bus. 10:00-12:00 Visit Xuedou Temple. 12:00-12:30 Have lunch. I had a braised beef bento for CNY 17.9, which I bought from a convenience store on the basement level of Impression City in the morning. I asked the store clerk to heat it in the microwave before I took it away. You can also have a meal at Miaoxiang Zhai, which is on the right after you enter the gate of Xuedou Temple. There are noodles for CNY 25 per bowl. I went inside, took a pair of chopsticks, and sat inside to eat my bento. There is also a vegetarian buffet for CNY 30 per person, which is open from 11:00 to 13:00. Afternoon: Xuedou Mountain → Maitreya Altar 12:30-12:50 Visit Zhang Xueliang's Secluded Place for 10 minutes 12:50-13:12 Take a bus directly to Xu Xiao Rock. You can skip San Yintan and visit from top to bottom. 13:12-13:40 Visit Xu Xiao Rock. The glass walkway requires an additional ticket for CNY 80 per person, so I didn't go in. 13:40-14:00 Continue to take a bus to San Yintan 14:00-14:50 Take a bus down the mountain to Xuedou Temple and continue to take a larger bus down the mountain 14:50-15:15 Go down the mountain to Maitreya Altar 15:15-16:45 Visit Maitreya Altar 16:45-18:25 Take a bus back to Ningbo Station. Since I had plenty of time, I took a bus to save money. 18:25-19:45: Have dinner - a must-have for special forces: Master Kong braised beef noodles. There is hot water available at the station. I took my instant noodles to the bar in the charging area, charged my phone for free (be sure not to litter and keep the bar clean), and ate my noodles while waiting for the train. 19:56-21:35 Take the train home.
