Zhejiang•Ningbo•Dongqian Lake

Dongqian Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, three times the size of West Lake, and is known as 'the scenery of West Lake with the spirit of Tai Lake'. It is said that during the Spring and Autumn period, the Yue State official Fan Li retired after achieving success and lived in seclusion with Xi Shi by the Dongqian Lake, fishing along its shores. Wang Anshi, a politician and literary figure of the Northern Song Dynasty, once served as a county magistrate here. Yinjia Bay here is a sheltered harbor of Dongqian Lake, nestled against the mountains and facing the water, accompanied by honest fish. When the night is hazy, fishing boats moor at the shore and fishermen sing at dusk. The ancient residential clusters with white walls and black tiles are elegant and clear, still retaining the architectural style of the Jiangnan region from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
