The oldest private library | Tianyi Pavilion

Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing private library in our country, and also one of the three oldest family libraries in the world. Tianyi Pavilion was built between the 40th and 45th years of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1561-1566 AD), originally the book collection place of Fan Qin, the right servant of the Ministry of War in the Ming Dynasty. Now it holds nearly 300,000 volumes of various ancient books, among which there are more than 80,000 volumes of precious and good editions. 🏠Building layout The area is about 34,000 square meters, now it is a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national key ancient books protection unit, a national first-class museum and a national AAAAA level tourist attraction. Tianyi Pavilion is known for its long-standing and profound book culture, garden art like the sky, simple and elegant ancient architectural style and convenient and superior geographical location. Tour guide: Divided into book culture area, garden leisure area, display exhibition area Book culture area The book culture area takes Tianyi Tianyi Pavilion as the core, combines the concentrated display of Fan's remaining houses with the scattered display of Dongming Caotang, Fan's old house, Zunjing Pavilion, Qianjinzhai, Baoshu Tower and other points, and displays the content in stages. Display exhibition area The display exhibition area includes Qin's branch ancestral hall, Furongzhou, Wen's ancestral hall and the newly built calligraphy and painting hall; the calligraphy and painting hall is on the west side of Qin's ancestral hall, with six houses: Yunzai Building, Boya Hall, Zhu Jin Hall, Hualian Hall, Zhuangyuan Hall, Nanxuan.
