Republic of China Past | Xikou Ancient Town Guide

Xikou, the first town of the Republic of China, is located in Fenghua, Ningbo, Zhejiang. If you, like me, love the history of the Republic of China, then besides Nanjing, this place is very worth visiting. This is the former residence of Mr. Jiang, the three-mile-long street of Wuling, along the green Shanxi, overlooking the majestic Xuedou Mountain, a second back to the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Endless sigh, a piece of green mountains and rivers of the geomantic treasure, like the Peach Blossom Spring flourishing, the gentleman who came out, changed China at that time. 🚌Transportation: Self-driving from Ningbo Railway Station to Fenghua Xikou Tengtou Scenic Area. 🎫Ticket: Jiang's former residence 120 yuan, Jiang's former residence + Xuedou Mountain joint ticket 180 yuan. ⏰Play time: 2—4 hours 👉🏻Tour route: Wuling Gate (viewing from the tower)→Wushan Temple→Wenchang Pavilion (former residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jiang)→Xiaoyang Building (former residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jiang Jingguo)→Wuling School Auditorium→Wuling School (Jiang's father and son history museum)→Jiang's ancestral hall-Fenghao Room-Yutai Salt Shop (birthplace of Mr. Jiang) 🥨Play strategy: ❶Wuling Gate: The necessary gate to enter the scenic area, Mr. Jiang repaired during the Republic of China, the two characters of Wuling on the door were inscribed by the elder of the Republic of China, Yu Youren, go up and blow the wind on the city tower. ❷Wenchang Pavilion: It was built in the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, and was rebuilt by Mr. Jiang when he returned to his hometown to sweep the tomb in 1924. It was also the place where Mr. and Mrs. Jiang lived when they returned to their hometown in Xikou during the Republic of China. It is worth mentioning that Zhang Xueliang, who was here after the Xi'an Incident, is said to have stayed here for 10 days, then was taken to Xuedou Mountain, and then everyone knew. ❸Xiaoyang Building: Adjacent to Wenchang Pavilion, this is where Mr. and Mrs. Jiang Jingguo used to live. What is worth seeing here is the monument of Jiang Jingguo's surgery to wash blood with blood, in memory of his mother Mao Fumei being bombed by the Japanese army. Xiaoyang Building can be climbed to the top, look at the nearby Shanxi and ancient trees from the top of the building. ❹Wuling School Auditorium: Don't miss it. A second back to the Republic of China, the auditorium podium, Mr. Sun Yat-sen's image, wooden stairs, Mr. Jiang's portrait and the history of Wuling School on the left, pulled me back to the early years of the Republic of China, the first glimpse of the modern education style, from Wuling can be reflected. ❺Wuling School: Focus on visiting the Jiang's father and son history museum, the towering trees in the courtyard seem to be telling people about the past. ❻Yutai Salt Shop: Mr. Jiang was born on the second floor of the salt shop. ❼Fenghao Room: The original match Mao Fumei and Jiang's mother's residence. 🚕Parking: The Xinan parking lot is spacious, and the bridge is the scenic area; you can also park in the underground parking lot of the tourist service center. ❗Tips: ①There is not much to eat in the scenic area, you can bring your own food. ②The streets on both sides are free, there is a bridge in Wenchang Pavilion that is particularly out of the picture, very beautiful.
