Miyazaki's Most Beautiful Train - Umisachi-Yamasachi

Named after the deities Umisachihiko and Yamasachihiko from Hyuga mythology The train cars are themed with Miyazaki-produced cedar wood, giving off a faint cedar scent as soon as you board. It operates between Miyazaki and Nango, traveling along the coastline. Not only are the train cars beautiful, but the scenery along the way is also stunning. Umisachi-Yamasachi has two cars: Car 1 - Yamasachi, themed with red to represent the mountains. Car 2 - Umisachi, themed with blue to represent the sea. The interior features bamboo blinds and yellow lights, giving it a very retro feel. Even the area outside the restroom is decorated with totems and wooden frames. The entire train is incredibly photogenic. Umisachi-Yamasachi only operates on weekends and Japanese holidays! Car 2 has unreserved seats, while the rest are reserved seats, so be sure to book in advance.
