Iberia: A comfortable journey from Madrid to Nice

#JanuaryGoodDestinations2025 For this short flight from Madrid to Nice, I chose to take Iberia and had the opportunity to experience their VIP lounge at Madrid Airport. Overall, the trip was full of comfort and pleasure. Check-in and lounge experience Madrid-Barajas Airport is very efficient, especially the Iberia counter, where the staff are friendly and professional, and check-in was completed within a few minutes. After passing through security, I headed to Iberia's VIP lounge (Sala VIP Velázquez). The VIP room is very spacious and adopts a simple and modern design, which makes people feel relaxed. The meal selection is varied and includes Spanish specialities such as ham and cheese platters, hot dishes and fresh salads. The beverage section also has a wide selection, ranging from sparkling water to a variety of Spanish red wines. I chose a glass of Rioja red wine and some tapas, and spent a pleasant waiting time while enjoying the view of the runway outside the window and reading a travel magazine. What surprised me most was the shower facilities in the VIP room, which is undoubtedly a big plus for passengers traveling for a long time or transferring. Flight experience Although the seat design of this flight is simple, it is comfortable enough for a short flight. The business class seats are spacious and the economy class seats also maintain good legroom. The cabin crew was very friendly and every passenger felt a warm greeting when boarding. After takeoff, the crew quickly began providing food and beverage service. I chose a simple meal with a glass of orange juice, the food was not luxurious but tasted fresh and the portions were just right. The flight time is about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The flight is stable during the journey. The magnificent scenery of the Mediterranean coast can be seen outside the window, making people look forward to the arrival of Nice even more. Summary Overall, Iberia provided a comfortable and pleasant flight experience, especially on short-haul flights, and their service quality and details were impressive. From the VIP lounge experience before boarding to the attentive service during the flight, both business class and economy class passengers can feel our sincerity.
