Imagine the battles at Carisbrooke Castle

Today I got the Ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde and jumped on the number 9 bus to Newport and the number 1 bus to Carisbrooke Hill. After a short picturesque walk past some amazing cottages, Mill and stream (picture 2) with a small climb to the top of an amazingly stunning village we stumbled across Carisbrooke castle. Plenty of history to read about, part of the English heritage group and suffocating in regal history dating right up 1930s and Beattie the daughter to Queen Victoria. I chose to walk but you can drive to the top and park as I would suggest for anyone facing disabilities of any kind and may feel they would struggle.
