We didn't visit many museums in New York but felt that we should pay a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian. Native American art and artefacts, some going back 12,000 years, displayed in a former customs house. It’s a great way to learn more about the tribes that once lived in these parts from pre-colonial times. Overall a good place to visit if you haven't been to a museum like this before. This, combined with the relatively gloomy weather made it a perfect indoors visit.
