Sail to Staten Island but to see her

Of course you can see the Statue of Liberty from Manhattan, or sail there on a tour. However, I would prefer to take a ferry to Staten Island. Not only can I enjoy sailing past the Statue, I am also able to catch the breathtaking view of New York skyline on the way there. The Staten Island ferry is free so do not trust anyone that asks you to pay for it. The travel time in either direction between St. George (Staten Island) and Whitehall (Manhattan) is 25 minutes so you can enjoy the ferry ride in peace. Upon arrival in Staten Island, it is also worth walking around the neighbourhood before hopping back to Manhattan on another ferry. #nyinsider #newyork #ferry
