Hotels with ocean views in Tokushima

During our trip to Tokushima, we stayed at two hotels. One of them was conveniently located near Tokushima Park and the Otsuka Museum of Art, with a bus stop nearby offering direct access to Tokushima Station. We visited the Taimarukaigetsu Onsen Ryokan, which provided shuttle service to another hotel for dinner. The dinner was a buffet, and the round-trip transportation was included, making it very convenient for us. We stayed for just one night and booked an economical room facing the coast, which felt like a great deal. The room included small tea snacks that were delicious. It was a typical Japanese-style room with clean tatami mats and spacious enough to accommodate large suitcases. The bathroom featured a glass partition and was long and narrow, with separate wet and dry areas. The service was excellent. The front desk clearly explained the shuttle service to the sister hotel for dinner and also provided tips on visiting other attractions, including the shuttle departure times. After dinner, they even prepared our bedding for us. The large communal bath was quite nice—not too hot and filled with pure spring water, which was perfect for me as I dislike carbonated baths. Breakfast was served in the ryokan's dining area. The sea bream was very fresh, and there were hot pot dishes available. The buffet-style dining and the overall environment were very satisfying. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. The transportation was convenient, though unfortunately, the cloudy weather prevented us from visiting Tokushima Park to enjoy the ocean view.
