Narita, Japan｜Half-day layover tour

Finally landed in Narita. Gained a day when going, lost it when coming back. Landing in Japan was quite an adjustment. First, the weather (North American weather is too comfortable). Second, the cleanliness and sense of security. The state of not having to worry about walking at night needs some getting used to. Also, mobile payments. In South America, mobile payments like in China are not feasible. Being used to card or cash payments, it takes some time to adapt to the 'modern society'. Since Omotesando and Naritasan Shinshoji Temple are a 15-minute drive from the hotel, and the hotel thoughtfully provides a free shuttle, I decided to take a quick tour. Just right to grab some Asian food! Omotesando has many shops along the street: agricultural product stores (craftsmanship spirit), restaurants (ramen, sushi, ice cream, drink shops), small goods stores. It's nice to stroll and take photos, though a bit hot. Naritasan Shinshoji Temple closes at 4 PM, but you can still walk around and see the gardens and exterior of the buildings. There's also a relatively large AEON mall nearby with a cinema, larger clothing stores, supermarkets, etc. If you have a bit more time, about three hours, you can also visit this. The hotel also provided discount and souvenir coupons (Narita City's hospitality towards travelers). First time wandering around Narita Airport area. Thanks to Narita Airport for holding the memories of our departure and return that month.
