Nara Afternoon Walk: A long cherry blossom tour of Himuro Shrine and Nara Park🌸⛩️

#Osaka Itinerary The Himuro Shrine is as quiet as a painting in the afternoon, with century-old weeping cherry trees hanging down curtains of pink and white flowers between the stone lanterns. The cherry blossoms here bloom a week later than those in Nara Park, allowing late-rising travelers to catch the end of the flower viewing. The path behind the shrine is covered with fallen cherry blossoms, which feel as soft as a velvet carpet when you step on them. Occasionally, curious deer peek out from the woods, looking extremely adorable with their heads full of petals. When we turned to Nara Park, the setting spring sun was gilding the cherry blossoms. Although we missed the early morning when there were least crowds, we unexpectedly encountered the most lively scene - tourists picnicking under the cherry trees and deer running around begging for rice crackers.
